Information about the Rehabilitation Services and Vocational Assistance Program
Welcome to the Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) Rehabilitation Services and Vocational Assistance Program (Rehabilitation Program). This program is coordinated and administered on behalf of VAC by a national contractor: Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS).
Your VAC Case Manager has determined you qualify for the Rehabilitation Program and referred you to PCVRS.
Your VAC Case Manager will work with a Rehabilitation Service Specialist (RSS) at PCVRS to support you with your rehabilitation needs.
The Rehabilitation Program provides access to medical, psycho-social and vocational rehabilitation services to support the unique needs of eligible Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Veterans.
The Rehabilitation Program will help you work toward:
- Adjusting to life after service
- Addressing barriers at home, in the community, and at work
- Improving your health and overall well-being
Purpose of the Rehabilitation Program
The Rehabilitation Program is needs based and addresses barriers to re- establishment in life after service caused by program eligible health problems.
It aims to restore or improve independent functioning to the extent possible in your roles at home, in the community, and at work.
